Hall Ranch, Sunday Jan 27

I don't even know how warm it was today but it was warm enough to wear shorts....in January....on the front range! Amazing! We headed out to Hall with our friend Aaron (aka philzy on mtbr) since we heard the rock section was rideable and free of snow and mud. There was only a couple patches of mud at the start of our ride but dry through the rock sections. As soon as we got to the bench, we saw some mud on the trail but for the most part it was dry, there were a couple really muddy sections we hiked-a bike through....until we hit the upper loop which was mostly snow covered or mud. We hiked-a-bike a lot and rode when there was packed snow and/or dirt. When we got back to the bench we had to free our tires of mud the best we could before making the descent back down. Dan went ahead and shot a couple pictures of Aaron and myself. This is where we saw Cynthia and stopped to chat with her for a couple minutes. Thankfully, we all had clean descents , Dan had another clean 100% no dab climb. Last ride of the season in 2007 was at Hall Ranch for us and I went OTB and cracked my helmet...this ride I was able to redeem myself with a clean descent.

This is what it looked like after the bench

This is what the upper loop looked like

Having fun on the rocks

Can't wait until the trails dry out...this kinda weather is a little depressing. We want to ride trails so bad but they're just not ready yet.
