Okay, so we got less than an 1" of snow last night and since it was warm yesterday and temps dropped below freezing last night, the roads turned into ice....just a complete sheet of ice.
The plow trucks were out but just plowing the barely there snow....why can't they throw down some sand so there's just a wee bit of traction on the roads? Is there a shortage of sand out there?

The Oakland County road commissioner was on the radio this morning here in michigan saying that we have a salt shortage. This year apparently has been pretty bad regarding the snowfall.
Hasn't it been snowing like everyday there?
This year has been nice here, it snows once a week overnight and by mid afternoon it's all melted away :)
