Big Wheels

Dan got the SS 29er built up yesterday and the perfect trail for testing it out was Centennial Cone. We started off Hwy 6 and rode up Mayhem Gulch to the ledges and then had to turn back around again because it was getting late. We got a late start and didn't get to the trailhead until 2pm and some guy needed his car jump started so we probably didn't get riding until around 2:30. Once we got to the ledges, it was about 4:30 so we decided to have a snack and head back to the car.

It was great, minimal people and nice dirt. I made 95% of the switchbacks and was pretty damn stoked about that! My goal this year are ledges and switchbacks...the big wheels make ledges easier and I think the geometry on the 29er make switchbacks easier than the 6.6.

All this talk of 29ers is making me want to take a sip of the kool-aid. Glad to see y'all are enjoying the brew :-)
